Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurčić has decided to exclude the trio of Ramadan Sobhi, Ibrahim Adel, and Blati Touré from the squad for the upcoming match against Morocco’s FAR Rabat due to injuries sustained during training on a pitch that the Egyptian club described as “poor” in the city of Kenitra, Morocco.
Pyramids FC had earlier accused FAR Rabat officials of deliberately obstructing and harassing them over finding a training ground ahead of Tuesday’s crucial encounter.
The Egyptian side will face AS FAR at 7:00 PM GMT on Tuesday at the Honour Stadium in Meknes in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
Pyramids head into the match with a strong advantage, having won the first leg in Cairo 4-1. Dr. Mostafa El Monayeri, head of Pyramids FC’s medical staff, confirmed the injuries as follows:
Ramadan Sobhi has suffered a knee ligament sprain.
Ibrahim Adel is dealing with severe pain in his right calf muscle.
Blati Touré is also experiencing pain in his knee.
These injuries led to the decision to rule all three players out of the matchday squad. In addition to the injured trio, the coaching staff also opted to exclude Youssef Nader and Tarek Alaa from the squad for technical reasons.
