Associação Black Bulls FC of Mozambique have vowed not to give up on their CAF Confederation Cup Group D dream despite facing a near-impossible mission of trying to beat Egyptian giants, Zamalek SC, in their backyard this Sunday.

The Mozambique champions badly need a win to catch up with the group leaders, Zamalek, and compatriots Al Marsy who both can step closer to the quarter-finals with wins in their respective matches on Sunday.

Coach Helder Duarte's men initially wanted to host Zamalek in Nigeria where they faced Enyimba FC last week or in South Africa, but finally settled for Cairo due to logistical reasons. The Mozambicans are unable to host matches on home soil due to a lack of certified match venues.

Ahead of the match, Black Bulls released an update that they remain steadfast in their pursuit of a historic last-eight qualification dream in Cairo ahead of what is supposed to be their home match.

“We won't give up or stop dreaming. We are steady on our path, learning every day to be better,” the Mozambican said.

Earlier, Black Bulls spokesperson, Nuno Sousa, said they were determined to take the next game with a positive mindset despite the setback of losing 4-1 to Enyimba FC last week in Nigeria.

“Now, we must focus on enjoying the game, aiming to collect points in the last two matches and leave the rest in God's hands. We are determined to bounce back positively,” he told Pan-Africa Football.

Black Bulls, who lost 2-0 to Zamalek in Cairo in the first leg before holding Al Masry to a one-all draw and then stunned Enyimba 3-0, remain in third place courtesy of a superior goal-aggregate over the Nigerians with both four points.

The Nigerians meet third-placed Al Masry, who have five points, three behind Zamalek, Sunday.
