Ghana’s female football star, Blessing Shine Agbomadzi has given rave reviews about her former club, AS FAR.
Blessing, who plied her with the Morocco champions, is currently in Ghana undergoing treatment of a knee injury she sustained five months ago during a training match with the club’s junior side.
The 23-year-old played for the then Ghana Women’s Premier League side, Kumasi Sports Academy before moving to Israeli top-flight side, Hapoel Be'er Sheva on a two-year deal.
She joined Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana after an abrupt end to her two-year deal in Israel due to the conflict - reaching the CAF Women’s Champions League where they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns by 2-0 in 2021.
She moved to AS FAR from Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies where she finally won the 2022 Women’s CAF Champions League following a 4-0 win over defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Her former side are in the finals of the continental campaign this season after beating Egypt side, FC Mansar by 2-1 in the semi finals at the Stade El Abdi in El Jadida. Blessing spoke highly of the exploits of the current defending champions of the Morocco Women Premier League.
“I know them to be go-getters and they don’t accept defeat so that is their character. They will go all out to get what they want, so far so good and I’m proud of them. I know one advantage is, AS FAR have quality players and majority of them are in the national team, the senior team and the junior team.
“So having these kind of qualities makes the work very easy for them and like I said, their mentality is very very high. “Their winning mentality is very very high so with their quality and mentality, that is why they are the way they are right right.” Blessing Shine Agbomadzi told Pan-Africa Football in an exclusive interview.
AS FAR would look to win yet another silverware when they face TP Mazembe women in the finals of the competing Saturday, November 23. Blessing’s national team experience dates from the U-17, U-20 and the senior side, the Black Queens.
