Cape Town City's interim coach Muhsin Ertuğral outlined his plans for the Betway Premiership campaign in South Africa with a clash against Kaizer Chiefs upcoming on Sunday.

Ertuğral gave an update on his plans for the Citizens as he prepares for his debut with Chiefs at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town:

"With a strong team of dedicated coaches and staff by my side, our full focus is on the league, the cup, and the success of this team," he wrote on his Facebook page. "I’m ready, motivated, and fully committed. Thank you for all your kind wishes and unwavering encouragement. Together, we’ll push forward and give it our all. This is just the beginning of our journey."

The Turkish mentor was appointed as technical director for City while also holding fort for the head coach post following the sacking of Eric Tinkler earlier in the week. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder was the second coaching casualty this week after Kwanele Kopo refused a contract extension at Chippa United.

The Citizens are slightly above the relegation zone in 12th place with 11 points after managing just three wins in 10 games along with two draws and five defeats. The latest defeat for City was  a 0-1 loss to AmaZulu FC last Sunday.
