Ghana’s home based senior national team, the Black Galaxies, will look to beat Nigeria in the second leg of the 2024 CHAN qualifiers on Saturday, December 28.

The Black Galaxies failed to score and were held to a goalless draw by Nigeria in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday. The return encounter is set for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo with the winner securing a ticket for the tournament next year.

Black Galaxies head coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani threw more light on their second leg clash in an interview with Pan-Africa Football

“We are going into a new game and it doesn’t matter where the game is being played. I believe that the most important aspect of our game is we played with the best energy, the boys came with the right effort and they performed."

“Results come when sometimes you don’t control it but I believe that they will control the game again. We will control the game, they will open up and then the game will be open but even that one you cannot just go and play a game and open out."

“Definitely you are going to think about scoring and you are going to think about that, I need to keep a clean sheet. As much as possible we will try to keep a clean sheet but I want to believe that, we will surely score. I control the energy, I control the performance but I don’t control the results."

“Even if we don’t qualify it is still positive and the positive about this is that, these boys have been exposed to a certain level of our Ghanaian league,” Dramani told Pan-Africa Football.

The main tournament will be played in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in February. The two sides are meeting for the second time in the qualifiers with Ghana qualifying for the last edition via the penalty shootouts.
