Ghana defender Razak Simpson has urged all and sundry to offer their unflinching support to the home based senior national team ahead of their 2024 CHAN Qualifiers.

The Black Galaxies host rivals, Nigeria in the first leg qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 22 with the return encounter billed for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo a week later.

Simpson, whose outstanding performance for club side, Nations FC earned him a first Black Stars call up for the failed 2025 AFCON qualifiers, believes the team needs a massive support to beat Nigeria.

“The final day is almost here which is Sunday and I will urge each and everyone as a Ghanaian, if you can be available to come and watch us and give us your full support. I always say that supporters are the number 12 member of every team when we are playing.

“So we need your full support and everything you can give us so that we can go all out because we are playing against Nigeria is not going to be easy,” Razak Simpson said.

Ghana defeated Nigeria through a dramatic penalty shootouts in the last qualifying edition and it will be a repeat or revenge this time for either Ghana or Nigeria.

The winner of the two legs books a slot in next year’s Championship for Africa Nations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
