Liberia A side head coach Thomas Kojo has summoned 26 players for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying doubleheader against Senegal.
Kojo called up 17-year-old striker William Gibson who started the final match of Liberia’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Algeria last month. Goalkeeper Abdulai Koulibaly, midfielder Lawrence Kumeh and left back Sebastien Teclar are other players in the team who have featured with the senior national team.
Kojo predominantly called up players who have less exposure on the continental stage. Outside of the goalkeeping position and the players previously mentioned, many of the squad members have recently earned their way into the team in the past few months.
Liberia reached the final qualifying stage after defeating neighbors Sierra Leone 3-2 on aggregate at the beginning of November. Liberia will host Senegal in Monrovia on December 22. with return leg set for December 28 in Diamniado. Following Pape Thiaw’s ascension to the senior national side, Souleymane Diallo took over the Senegal 'A' side for the upcoming qualifiers.
