Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda has described Group A of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) as exciting and one to watch.
He said this in reaction to the CHAN draw which tool place in Kenya on Wednesday ahead of the tournament for home-based players.
"Group A will be the group to watch. We shall prepare very well for it," Nyirenda told Pan-Africa Football. The Copper Bullets were drawn alongside Kenya, Angola, Morocco and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
"It is going to be a very interesting tournament in the group stages. In fact all groups have drawn very good and competitive teams. This years edition of CHAN shall be very competitive and interesting. Every team brings something special to the tournament."
CHAN was scheduled from February 1 to 28 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania but it has been postponed to August with the official dates yet to be announced.
