Chippa United coach Thabo September has admitted that the team will be in rebuilding process for next season because they will lose key players in the next transfer window.

The Chilli Boys are currently sitting ninth on the 16-team league table with 29 points from 22 and even before the season comes to a close, September says he is optimistic they will need to reinforce to the new campaign.

“We will lose some, but there’s definitely the core we will keep,” said September as quoted by FARPost. “It’s football, when you want to make your team better, then you sell your better players and invest in younger players and try to be stable.

“But you will lose a few and rebuild in the positions that we’ll lose, but the bunch of players, we’ll keep.”

Some players, who could leave the club after conclusion of their respective contracts include midfielder Craig Martin, striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, and winger Aphelele Teto, who is on loan from Livingston FC.

Chippa United are scheduled to host Kaizer Chiefs in their next league fixture at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on August 19.
