Simba SC have vowed to transfer their anger from the postponed Mainland Premier League derby against rivals Young Africans (Yanga SC) to their CRBD Federation Cup fixture against TMA Stars at KMC Stadium on Tuesday.

The Msimbazi Reds were scheduled to face the Citizens in their Kariakoo derby on Saturday, March 8, but the fixture was postponed by the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) after Simba raised a complaint accusing Yanga of denying them opportunity to train at the matchday venue.

With the game yet to get a new date, Simba are scheduled to face Championship side TMA Stars in the round of 32 fixture of the domestic competition.

Simba Media Officer Ahmed Ally has revealed their readiness to face the minnows insisting the players are eager and ready to showcase their best football in the round of 32 contest.

“We had prepared everything for the Kariakoo derby, we were ready for the Yanga game but it never happened, and now that it did not happen, all the anger we had to face Yanga now will shift to TMA Stars,” Ally told Pan-Africa Football.

“All the preparations we did for the Yanga game, (we did more than enough preparations for Yanga), and the few days we have trained after the derby was called off, we will use it to beat TMA, so I want to urge all our fans to come out in large numbers and watch Simba in action.

“We have combined all the preparations, the one we did before March 8 when we were to face Yanga and the one we have done since March 8 until March 11 when we face TMA, we have combined the preparations together and we want to use it against TMA, the players are eager to play, they want to win, and they want to show top quality game.”

While Simba will face TMA Stars, Yanga will take on Coastal Union in the Round of 32 at the same venue on Wednesday.
