Zambian star Patson Daka attracted media attention following his lengthy chat with Erling Halaand at the King Power Stadium after Leicester City's 0-2 loss to Manchester United on Sunday evening.

Television cameras zoomed in on the pair after the final whistle as they chatted on the pitch for a minute.

“Patson Daka and Erling Haaland after the full-time whistle in the match between Leicester City and Man City,” ESPN Africa wrote.

Another publication TR Sportzm tweeted: “Daka came off the substitute bench in the 85th minute of the match for Leicester City who suffered a 2-0 defeat to Man City in a Premier League match.”

Daka and Halaand had contrasting fortunes on Sunday as the Norwegian and Savio were on target for the Premier League champions while the Zambian only featured in the last six minutes.

The Chipolopolo forward made a return from an injury last month and has hardly scored this season for the Foxes who still bank on Jamie Vardy.

Daka and Haaland were teammates at Red Bull Salzburg where the Zambian carried the mantle at the Austrian’s Bundesliga side from the Norwegian who had left to join Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

The Zambian, too, got his dream transfer to Leicester the following year when he signed a five-year contract, becoming the third Zambian after Collins Mbesuma (Portsmouth) and Emmanuel Mayuka (Southampton) to play in the Premier League.
