Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers scored and provided an assist as Rangers came from behind to defeat Dundee United 3-1 in an impressive away performance at Tannadice Park on Sunday.
The home side had taken the lead through Sam Dalby after 20 minutes, but goals from Mohamed Diomande, Robin Propper and the Super Eagles forward secured three points on the road for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers were in control in the second half and had the ball in the net again through Dessers, but the goal was disallowed for offside in the build-up. However, Dessers was not to be denied as he found the back of the net following a superb move in the stoppages.
Out of 21 matches so far this season, Dessers has scored eight goals and provided two assists.
Meanwhile, Nigeria star Gift Orban scored his first goal for Hoffenheim as they snatched a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in a Bundesliga fixture at Rhein-Neckar Arena on Sunday.
In the four goal thriller, Hugo Ekitike put the away team ahead in the 26th minute from the penalty spot before Orban levelled matters for Hoffenheim in the 65th minute. Ekitike then made it 2-1 for Frankfurt but a great fight saw Adam Hlozek make it 2-2 for Orban’s side.
Since moving to Hoffenheim, Orban has made three appearances and scored one goal.
