Edward Kizza with Pittsburgh Riverhounds
Indy Eleven Football Club has secured the services of Ugandan forward Edward Kizza on a free transfer.
He joins the United Soccer League (USL) Championship outfit after a standout stint with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC where he tied for ninth in the league with 12 goals during the 2024 season.
Breaking new ground
Kizza becomes the first Ugandan to sign for Indy Eleven, expanding the franchise's global player representation to 51 nations. His arrival is pending league and federation approval and the specific terms of his deal remain undisclosed due to club policy.
Indy Eleven, based in Indianapolis, Indiana plays its home matches at the 12,111-seat Michael A. Carroll Stadium. Founded in 2013, the club is led by President Greg Stremlaw and Head Coach Sean McAuley.

Kizza is a product of the Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA) and has steadily built a reputation as a reliable goal scorer. His journey in professional soccer began after being selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by New England Revolution.
