The relegation fight continues on in England's second tier EFL Championship and although they are in last place, Plymouth Argyle still could escape the drop after two goals from Mustapha Bundu led The Pilgrims to Monday's 3-1 victory over Coventry City.

The Sierra Leone international was involved in all three goals for Plymouth, opening the scoring in the 40th minute with a powerful low finish from Adam Randell's cross.

Less than three minutes later, Bundu turned provider. The 28-year-old got behind the Coventry defense on the left wing and patiently waited for support to arrive before laying off to Ryan Hardie for the finish. Haji Wright pulled one back for Coventry soon after to make it 2-1 in favor of hosts Plymouth at halftime.

Despite the halftime lead, the match was very even and Plymouth supporters were not at ease considering a defeat could all but confirm their relegation. However it was Bundu who put the result to rest in the 65th minute by bundling in with a header after his initial effort was tipped into the air by Coventry goalkeeper Bradley Collins.

With two matches to go, Bundu and Plymouth still have plenty of work to do but they are now certainly in a position to decide their own destiny. They are three points back of Luton Town as well as 21st place Derby County, who currently sit in the final survival spot. The Greens will travel to face Preston North End on Saturday in a relegation six-pointer.

Bundu continues to enjoy a strong season where he has been ever-present for Plymouth, providing 10 goals and 6 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
