ENPPI advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024-25 Egypt Cup after defeating Ismaily 1-0 today to kick off the Round of 16 stage of the competition.
The only goal of the game came early in the 6th minute through an unfortunate defensive error. Ismaily defender Mohamed Ammar mistakenly turned the ball into his own net while attempting to clear a cross delivered by ENPPI’s Mostafa Dwidar.
The scoreline remained unchanged for the rest of the match allowing ENPPI to progress to the next round. The club affiliated with the Egyptian petroleum industry will face the winner of the match between Arab Contractors and either Pyramids or Mansoura.
Two matches remain in the Round of 32 and are scheduled for February 4, featuring Pyramids against second division club Mansoura and Al Masry versus Wadi Degla.
