The Egypt Cup continued on Tuesday with two rescheduled matches in the Round of 32, featuring Pyramids FC vs. Mansoura and Al Masry vs. Wadi Degla.

Pyramids secure a comfortable win over Mansoura

Pyramids FC sealed their spot in the Round of 16 with a 3-0 victory over Mansoura.

The opening goal came in the 21st minute when the ball hit Mansoura defender Mohannad Rashad and was deflected into the net after a Marwan Hamdy cross. However, the goal came at a cost, as Pyramids’ Sodiq Awujoola suffered an injury after a collision with Mansoura’s goalkeeper and had to leave the match.

Pyramids doubled their lead in the stoppage time of the second half, with Youssef Obama converting a low cross from Karim Hafez inside the box into the net.

Marwan Hamdy then wrapped up the scoring in the 95th minute with a header from a corner delivered by Mohamed Chibi.

With this victory, Pyramids advance to the Round of 16 where they will face Arab Contractors.

Late winner sends Al Masry through

In the other match, Al Masry clinched a 1-0 win against Wadi Degla, thanks to a late goal by Khaled El Ghandour in the 82nd minute.

El Ghandour showcased his skill as he received the ball on the edge of the box, moved into the other direction and hit a left-footed shot into the net.

With this result, Al Masry progress to the Round of 16, where they will meet National Bank of Egypt.
