The semifinal lineup for the 2025 Egypt Cup is now complete after an action-packed quarterfinal stage. Four teams secured their places in the last four, setting up exciting matchups.

Zamalek 4-2 Smouha

Zamalek overcame a tough challenge from Smouha to win 4-2 and advance to the semi-finals.

Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri opened the scoring for Zamalek in the 12th minute with a brilliant solo effort. Smouha responded through Mohamed Mostafa Mido in the 25th minute after a cross from Abd Alrahman Amer.

Just before halftime, Smouha turned the game around as Mohamed Salem scored a header from another Abdelrahman Amer cross in the 47th minute. However, Zamalek fought back in the second half. Smouha defender Barakat Haggag accidentally turned a Mostafa Shalaby cross into his own net in the 59th minute to level the score.

Just two minutes later, left-back Mahmoud Bentayg fired a stunning long-range strike to put Zamalek ahead. Bentayeg has now contributed to three goals in his last four games, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Mostafa Shalaby sealed the victory in the 95th minute with a composed finish inside the box. After scoring, he removed his shirt in celebration, signaling his respect for it after missing the previous game against Al Ahly due to disciplinary reasons.

This victory extends Zamalek’s unbeaten run to nine matches, including four consecutive wins, one of which was by forfeit against Al Ahly. Zamalek will now face Ceramica Cleopatra in the semifinals.

Pyramids 2-1 ENPPI

Pyramids secured a narrow 2-1 victory over ENPPI to book their place in the semi-finals.

Mostafa Fathi put Pyramids ahead in the 15th minute with a well-placed shot from outside the box. This was his fourth goal contribution in his last four games, with three goals and one assist.

ENPPI equalized in the 52nd minute when Ahmed El Agouz’s shot deflected off Pyramids defender Ahmed Sami and found the net. Deep into stoppage time (98th minute), Youssef Obama scored the winner with a header from an Ibrahim Adel cross.

This marked Obama's second consecutive goal in the Egypt Cup, having also scored in the Round of 16 against Arab Contractors. Pyramids extended their unbeaten streak to 21 matches, including 18 wins, and will now take on National Bank in the semifinals

Ceramica Cleopatra 3-1 El Gouna

Ceramica Cleopatra secured a 3-1 home victory over El Gouna to reach the semi-finals.

Moroccan star Ahmed Belhadji stole the show with a hat-trick. He opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a header and doubled the lead in the 33rd minute after pouncing on a low cross from Fagrie Lakay, who showed an individual effort before sending the cross.

El Gouna pulled one back in the 48th minute through Ahmed Shousha’s penalty. However, in the 58th minute, Belhadji completed his hat-trick with another penalty. Belhadji has now been directly involved in seven goals in his last six games for Ceramica Cleopatra, scoring six and assisting one.

El Gouna’s unbeaten run came to an end after four games. Ceramica Cleopatra will now face Zamalek in the semi-finals.

Ghazl El Mahalla 1-0 National Bank (AET)

National Bank claimed a late 1-0 away victory over Ghazl El Mahalla in the extra time. The match remained goalless for 120 minutes until a late penalty was awarded.

Osama Faisal converted from the spot in the second minute of stoppage time in the second half of extra time and secured the win. Faisal has now scored seven goals in his last seven matches for National Bank.
