Egyptian Premier League: Annor scores in another victory for in form Al Ahly Bank

The ninth round of the Nile Egyptian League kicked off today with four matches showcasing battles across the table.


Haras El Hodoud secure crucial away win against Ghazl El Mahalla


Haras El Hodoud claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla away from home.


The decisive moment came in the 82nd minute when Mahalla defender Amr El-Gazzar accidentally turned the ball into his own net.



This marked Haras ElHodoud's second win of the season and their second victory in the last three matches, following a tough start with no wins in their first six games.


On the other hand, Mahalla suffered their third consecutive league defeat.

Haras ElHodoud: 9 points, 12th place

Ghazl El Mahalla: 8 points, 15th place



National Bank continue winning streak with victory over El Gouna


National Bank secured their third consecutive league win, defeating El Gouna 2-1 on the road.


The scoring began with Mahmoud Kahraba giving El Gouna an early lead from the penalty spot in the 12th minute.


However, Osama Faisal equalized for National Bank, also from a penalty, in the 35th minute.

Yaw Annor sealed the victory for National Bank with a well-taken goal in the 59th minute.



The game saw two red cards for National Bank in quick succession. Annor was sent off in the 69th minute with a direct red card followed by Cyrille Dao receiving a second yellow card in the 72nd minute.


Standings Update:


National Bank: 14 points, 6th place

El Gouna: 6 points, 17th place


Tala’ea El Gaish edge ENPPI with a narrow win


Tala’ea El Gaish defeated ENPPI 1-0, with Mohamed Camatcho scoring the game’s only goal in the 60th minute.



The win propelled El Gaish to 9th place in the league standings, while ENPPI is stuck near the bottom of the table.

ENPPI: 7 points, 16th place


Ismaily clinch narrow win over Smouha


Ismaily earned a 1-0 victory against Smouha, with Khaled Al Nabrisi scoring the decisive goal in the 68th minute.
