The fourth day of Round 7 in the Nile League (Egyptian Premier League) featured two matches that concluded the round.
Match 1: Modern Sport 0-0 Ismaily
The first match of the day saw Modern Sport and Ismaily play out a goalless draw.
The most notable moment of the game came in the 89th minute when Ismaily's Ali El Malwany broke free from midfield, racing towards the penalty area. However, as he approached the box, a Modern Sport defender closed in and did enough to disrupt the scoring opportunity. El Melwany attempted a backheel pass to a teammate but the effort didn't result into dangerous chance and his teammate lost the ball.
With this draw:
Ismaily moves up to 7 points, sitting in 13th place.
Modern Sport remains at the bottom of the table with 5 points.
Match 2: Ghazl El Mahalla 0-1 National Bank
The second match of the day saw National Bank secure a narrow 1-0 victory at Ghazl El Mahalla.
The only goal of the game came in the 6th minute, courtesy of Yaw Annor. The Togo national team forward latched onto a pass from Osama Faisal and unleashed a first-time shot without letting it touch the ground, sending it past Mahalla goalkeeper Mohamed Amer and into the net.
This defeat marks the first loss for Ghazl El Mahalla head coach Shawky Gharib since taking charge of the team. Under his leadership, the team had previously played three matches, winning two and drawing one.
With this win:
National Bank climbs to 8 points, moving into 10th place.
Ghazl El Mahalla, also on 8 points, drops to 11th due to goal difference.
