The Nile Egyptian League delivered another day of action with two games held on Saturday in the second day of Round 8.

Match 1: National Bank 1-0 Ismaily

National Bank secured a narrow victory against Ismaily with a lone goal scored by Yaw Annor in the 49th minute. Annor latched onto a long pass from his teammate Saidou Simporé, received the ball, ran inside the penalty area and scored. Interestingly, Annor chose not to celebrate out of respect for his former club, Ismaily.

This marks Al Ahly Bank's second consecutive 1-0 league victory with Annor scoring the winning goal in both matches. This victory lifts Al Ahly Bank to 11 points, placing them 7th in the league standings. Meanwhile, Ismaily remains at 9 points, in the 10th place.

ZED FC 1-0 Al Ittihad Alexandria

ZED FC triumphed over Al Ittihad Alexandria with a 1-0 win.

The match’s decisive moment came in the 33rd minute when Dilson scored with a well-placed finish following a precise cross into the box.

The game took a difficult turn for Al Ittihad in the 55th minute after Benjamin Boating was shown a red card, reducing his team to 10 men. ZED FC achieved a victory against Al Ittihad Alexandria after drawing the previous two league matches against Petrojet and ENPPI.

With this win, ZED FC climbs to 13 points, securing 5th place in the standings. Al Ittihad Alexandria, on the other hand, remains at 9 points, in the 11th place.
