Chelsea manager Enzo has defended misfiring striker Nicolas Jackson.
The Senegal forward was missing in action when the Blues lost 2-1 at Brighton in the FA Cup round 4.
Jackson has scored 9 goals with nine assists in 23 English Premier League games but the Italian trainer extols the qualities of the 23-year-old, believing that he will soon find his scoring boots.
“I think sometimes you need to play games without players to realize how important they are.
“I wish I had many time around Nico [Jackson], important on the ball and off the ball.
“His intensity or the pressing is always very good and on the ball is a threat always.” Enzo Maresca said.
Jackson signed an eight-year deal at Chelsea for a reported fee of £32 million from Villarreal two years ago. He has 19 caps and A goal for the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
