Cape Town City head coach Muhsin Ertugral has hinted at a quite transfer window in January for the Betway Premiership outfit.
The transfer is already open and will close on January 28 but according to the Turkish tactician, Cape Town City may end up not bringing in new signings to reinforce his side.
“Yesterday we had a meeting about what we’re going to do and at the moment, I think obviously, let’s concentrate,” Ertugral said as quoted by idiskitimes. “I’m not a big fan of looking at the between transfers, between-season transfers are always highly difficult transfers, in my opinion. So, I’m not the guy we’re going to run and say, I need these.”
He added: “We’ll discuss it with John [Comitis], we had yesterday a discussion about it as the board and also, and we also already, now I’m starting to look for next season myself, because that’s gonna be my area. I think pretty much we have a good team there.
“The youngsters are coming through too. There are three, or four youngsters in the youth section that I’m going to see hopefully after next week, which have great potential.
“Obviously, you could see the one youngster today played marvel as the up front, sometimes on the wing, sometimes a little bit inward, sometimes. So always a bit and he has the potential to be much more, playing much more, and so we’ll see. Actually, I don’t know, I can’t say that at the moment.
“So, we also want to do justice to the players that have been there.”
Cape Town are currently placed sixth on the league table with 17 points from 13 matches. They have secured five wins, two draws and suffered six defeats.
