Espérance Sportive de Tunis has officially completed the signing of Swedish-Tunisian right-back Elyas Bouzaiene.
The 27-year-old defender joins the Tunisian giants from Swedish club Västerås SK. Bouzaiene can also operate as a wide midfielder and will provide depth for EST who are participants in the CAF Champions League in addition to domestic competitions.
While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, the player signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.
During the recently concluded 2024 Swedish season, Bouziane made 17 league appearances for Västerås in the top division Allsvenskan where VSK were relegated to the second tier Superettan after finishing last in the 16-team league.
