The Ethiopian Cup Round of 32 continued on Sunday in Addis Ababa and Hawassa as holders Ethiopian Coffee's dream of retaining their title shattered by Sihul Shire. Second division side Boditi Ketema upset topflight side Adama Ketema to book their place in the third round.

Ethiopian Coffee lost to Sihul Shire 2-1 in Addis Ababa as they unceremoniously bowed out of the tournament. Biruk Hadush and Henok Tewold scored for the North Ethiopian side. Kunkun Hafiz grabbed a consolation for the Browns in the dying moments of the tie.

The result leaves head coach Netsanet Kebre in a tight situation. Coffee failed to start the league season on a bright note, currently sitting in 6th place, and they have already failed to retain their Ethiopian Cup title.

Boditi Ketema emerged victorious in remarkable fashion against Adama Ketema. Boditi and Adama played out a one all draw but the South Ethiopian side beat Adama 4-2 on penalties.

Elsewhere, league leaders Mechal ran rampant against Addis Ababa as the Army side won 4-0. Veteran midfielder Shemeles Bekele bagged a hattrick and center back Aschalew Tamene netted the other goal.
