Two-time Ethiopian champions Hawassa Ketema made headlines after the club gave out questioners to their players asking why the side is performing poorly in the topflight. The Lakers started off the season positively following big summer spending to bring in new players like Biniyam Belay.
However, the South Ethiopian outfit are currently 17th with 10 points as they dangle in the relegation zone, losing six of their last nine games and failing to win since October. They fired head coach Zerai Mulu citing poor performance in the league.
Results have not improved since the sacking of Mulu. So a new move by the club was to hand out six questions to the players in hope of getting a solution. Instead of arranging a meeting with players the club opted for a questioner to address the issue. The club put up five questions as seen by Pan-Africa Football.
The questions revolved around why the club failed to perform in the topflight, also asking if there are problems regarding the training schemes and the morale of players. The questioner also asked players for potential solutions to all of the problems so that the club can return to winning ways.
Hawassa will face fellow relegation battlers Wolwalo Adigrat University in week 15 of the Ethiopian Premier League on Tuesday 21st of January.
