Saturday's action from the Ethiopian Premier League saw Saint George losing to Hadiya Hosaina while Ethiopian Coffee were brilliant against Mechal as they won 1-0 in their Week 19 clash.
Hadiya Hosaina scored in the second half to defeat Saint George 1-0. Hadiya captain Henok Arficho's second half free kick was enough to end the Horsemen's eight game unbeaten run. Saint George dominated in possession but they couldn't break the tough Hadiya defensive line.
Hadiya Hosaina replaced Saint George to be second with 30 points. Saint George dropped to third after the loss.
Ethiopian Coffee built on their sprited Sheger derby performance from Sunday as they pipped Mechal 1-0. Anteneh Tefera struck after the resumption from close range to hand the Browns a memorable victory against the military side.
Tefera is now the sole top scorer of the top flight with eight goals.
Coffee are fifth with 26 points while Mechal slipped to fourth with 27 points. The army side are now winless in their last five games after starting the league on a bright note.
