Ethiopian Coffee emerged victorious over Fasil Kenema to move into second place while Mechal edged past Arbaminch Ketema in the ongoing Week 25 of the Ethiopian Premier League played at the Hawassa University Stadium.
Ethiopian Coffee bounced back from their week 24 defeat as they closed the points gap on league leaders Ethiopian Insurance. The Browns overcame Fasil Kenema courtesy of a goal from Ghanaian striker Hafiz Konkoni. Konkoni struck the only goal of the match in the 24th minute after poor defending by the Gondar outfit.

Ethiopian Coffee are now second with 39 points, six points behind leaders Ethiopian Insurance. Fasil Kenema sit ninth with 33 points.
Veteran midfielder Shemeles Bekele scored a brilliant goal to hand Mechal a crucial 1-0 win over Arbaminch Ketema. The former Ethiopian international beat his marker and sent a curling effort to break the deadlock in the second half.
The Army side are now fifth with 35 points after back-to-back league wins, while Arbaminch Ketema are seventh with 34 points.
