Ethiopian Premier League leaders Ethiopian Insurance were shocked by Fasil Kenema in Wednesday's Week 18 fixture played in Adama. The Emperors ended Insurance’s 12-match unbeaten run in the league.
Anwar Murad’s second half strike was the difference between the two sides as the Gondar based club won 1-0. Murad superbly chested down a ball inside the box to strike the only goal of the game. The youngster has managed to score in three consecutive league matches now.
It was a very rough game between the two sides. Fasil’s defensive organization made it difficult for Insurance to create opportunities and control the match. Fasil Kenema head coach Wubetu Abate cherished the win in style as his players celebrated his birthday following the final whistle.
Insurance have now lost only two league games thus far. They still lead the log table with 32 points. Fasil Kenema are eighth with 23 points.

CBE are 13th with 21 points as their resurgence continues. Hawassa Ketema remain in the relegation zone with 15 points.
