Bahirdar Ketema scored four unanswered goals against Saint George on Sunday in a 4-1 victory to move into third place on the Ethiopian Premier League log. Mechal's poor journey continued after drawing against Diredawa Ketema at the Adama Science and Technology University Stadium.

For Bahirdar, Wondwosen Belete bagged the first hat-trick of the season in the second half to hand the Waves of Tana a much deserved win. The Horsemen of Saint Goerge took an early lead through winger Tegenu Teshome but Bahirdar leveled matters through Mesay Agegnehu before half time.

Belete's second half hat-trick helped Bahirdar to sink Saint George in the second half. Bahirdar capitalized on set pieces and defensive howlers to register their biggest ever win over Saint George in the top flight.

Mechal and Diredawa Ketema settled for a barren stalemate in the earlier match on Sunday. The Army side struggled to create chances and have not scored in any of their last three matches.
