The beginning of Round 21 from the Ethiopian Premier League saw Ethiopian Coffee’s incredible run persist as they pipped Ethio Electric 1-0. Meanwhile, later in the day, Hadiya Hosaina yet again missed out on a chance to catch leaders Ethiopian Insurance after drawing 1-1 against Sidama Coffee.
Ghanaian striker Hafiz Konkoni scored his fifth goal of the season as Ethiopian Coffee beat Ethio Electric in an Addis Ababa derby. Hafiz struck the lone goal in the first interval after collecting a superb through ball from Tariku Yitagesu.
The Browns dominated the proceedings against Electric in Adama as they sit second with 32 points. Ethio Electric are ninth with 25 points.
Earlier, Hadiya Hosaina and Sidama Coffee settled for a one all draw. Early goals from both sides settled the score. Sidama opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Mesfin Tafesse struck from close range. A minute later Eyob Alemayehu equalized through a backheel.
Hadiya Hosiana are down to third with 32 points. Sidama Coffee are 11th with 25 points.
