Round 14 of the Ethiopian Premier League continued on Wednesday with two more matches with the round set to conclude on Thursday. Wolayta Dicha swept aside Wolwalo Adigrat University in round 14 of the Ethiopian Premier League. Sidama Coffee and Mekele 70 Enderta ended their tie in a barren draw.
Wolwalo Adigrat’s wait for a win in the Ethiopian Premier League continues after suffering a 2-0 loss to Wolayta Dicha in Adama. The Sodo based club took an early lead in the first half through Yared Darza who capitalized on a defensive lapse by Wolwalo.
Bisrat Bekele sealed the three points six minutes before time after a well-executed corner kick. Yared Gemechu’s side are seventh with 19 points. Wolwalo are still winless as they dangle at the bottom with only a single point. Darza has now bagged five league goals this season as he continues to be a contender for the top goal scorer award.
Sidama Coffee and former Ethiopian champions Mekelle played out a goalless draw in what has been a dull affair. Sidama Coffee’s interim boss Addise Kassa managed to extend his unbeaten start to three games as they sit 8th with 18 points. Mekelle are 14th with 15 points, one point above the relegation zone.
