Selim Ben Othman, the sporting director of CS Sfaxien, has submitted his resignation from his role at the club.
Pan-Africa Football has learned exclusively that Ben Othman’s decision to step down comes as a result of the team’s recent poor performances and the challenging administrative situation at the club. CSS have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions including defeats in all three of their CAF Confederation Cup contests.
These factors pushed him to make the personal decision to leave his position. Ben Othman, who assumed the role in July 2024, has chosen to end his tenure with the Tunisian giants.
Meanwhile, reports from Tunisia suggest that CS Sfaxien intend to part ways with head coach Alexandre Santos following the team’s results in recent weeks. Santos also joined in July after a successful spell with Angolan giants Petro de Luanda with whom he reached the CAF Champions League semifinals during the 2021-22 season.
