Express FC has officially re-signed midfielder Ramzy Kawooya from BUL FC, marking his return to Wankulukuku after a brief six-month spell with the Eastern Giants.
Kawooya, who left Express at the start of the season on a two-year deal with BUL FC, struggled to cement a starting spot under coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko, featuring in just five league games and completing the full 90 minutes only once, on match day one against Police FC.
His return is expected to strengthen Express FC’s midfield as they gear up for the second round of the Uganda Premier League season.
Alongside Kawooya, the Red Eagles have also secured the services of promising youngster Jimmy Lagoro from Kings College Buddo, following his impressive displays in the FUFA TV Cup.
Currently, Express FC sits third in the league standings with 25 points from 15 matches as they aim to push for a stronger finish in the second half of the campaign.
