Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo scored from the penalty spot to help AFC Bournemouth secure victory over Everton in the English FA Cup round 4.
Semenyo was in a fantastic form on Saturday as the Cherries romped to a 2-0 victory over the Toffees at the Goodison Park. Everton captain James Tarkowski endured a terrible afternoon.
He conceded a penalty before committing a blunder for Bournemouth’ second goal of the match. The Black Stars forward, converted from the spot in the 22nd-minute mark to put Bournemouth ahead.
Bournemouth doubled their lead before the half time break after Daniel Jebbison capitalized on Tarkowski’s mistake to slot home the second goal of the match. And with no additional goal in the clash, the Cherries cruised to victory, ensuring their qualification to the round five of the FA Cup competitions this season.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian forward has been in a blistering form this season for the Cherries, scoring nine goals and providing four assists from 26 games across competitions.
In the FA Cup competition, Semenyo has clocked two goals and provided an assist from two appearances.
