Fatawu Dauda: Ghana keepers trainer extols ethics of Asare, Ati-Zigi and Wollacott

Ghana national team goalkeepers trainer, Fatawu Dauda has extolled his charges for displaying high professional ethics during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.


The Black Stars posted a stupendous performance against Chad and Madagascar in fixtures day five and six - beating the former by 5-0 in Accra and the latter 3-0 at the Al Hoceima Stadium in Morocco.


Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, who was making his debut was selected ahead of Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Wollacott for the two encounters.


The 32-year-old kept clean sheets in both clashes, drawing positive reviews from scores of Ghanaians Fatawu Dauda has praised Asare for those heroics and equally patted Ati-Zigi and Wollacott at the back for offering their support.


Dauda took to social media to post his commendation to the players. "You guys were amazing in supporting each other. Keep it up, and let’s move forward. I wish you all the best in your remaining games this season," Dauda wrote.


Ghana reached to the top of group I with 15 points, three ahead of Island nation Comoros with the qualifiers returning in September.


Meanwhile, the Black Stars will regroup in June for a four nation tournament before taking on Chad and Mali for the Matchday seven and eight games of the qualifiers.
