Hungarian club Ferencvarosi TC has officially announced the signing of Guinean midfielder Naby Keita on loan starting in January from German side SV Werder Bremen.

Keita, who had been suspended from participating in Werder Bremen's first-team matches, faced disciplinary action following an incident in April. The midfielder reportedly refused to travel with the team for their match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Since the incident, Keita has been sidelined from first-team action until securing this loan move to the Hungarian club this month. The deal includes a clause allowing Ferencvarosi TC to make the transfer permanent after the end of the loan period.

The Guinean international previously played for English Premier League giants Liverpool FC, where he had a successful stint, winning the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the EFL Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

On the international stage, Keita has represented Guinea’s senior national team 59 times, scoring 11 goals since making his debut in May 2014.
