Gor Mahia will be keen to close the gap between them and leaders KCB when they take on Bidco United in an FKF Premier League fixture on Sunday.

After a poor start to the season which saw K’Ogalo terminate the contract of coach Leonardo Martins Neiva after only six matches, the record champions have gone ahead to register three straight wins in the top-flight.

First, they beat Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 before downing oromoted side Mara Sugar 2-0 and beating FC Talanta 3-2. The three wins saw them move up the 18-tam table to position four with 17 points, five less the Bankers, who have led the league since it kicked off.

A win against Bidco will see K’Ogalo close in for the top spot. Meanwhile, KCB, who have 22 points, will be away in Mombasa to take on Bandari.

KCB coach Patrick Odhiambo is opsmitic of a win against the Dockers. “We want to keep the momentum going and our focus is to beat Bandari, they are a tough side when playing at home but we want to make sure we return with maximum points,” Odhiambo told Pan-Africa Football.

In other matches on Saturday, Kenya Police will be up against Mara Sugar while AFC Leopards will travel to face Kakamega Homeboyz at Mumias Cimples. Tusker will entertain Mathare United, Sofapaka host Ulinzi Stars while Nairobi City Stars will lock horns against Murang’a Seal.
