KCB captain Brian Ochieng has left the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League after seven years at the club.
In a statement on his social media pages, Ochieng, who is nicknamed ‘Rio’, said: “It's been some journey. And all that’s left for me is to say THANK YOU!!.I’ve spent seven years at KCB the club that became an important part of my life. It's now time for a new challenge.
“There are so many people at the club I need to thank: The chairman, the managers I played for, all my team-mates and the staffs behind the scenes. I wish everyone at the club the best for the future. I’ll be forever Grateful KCB Football Club.”
He leaves the Bankers sitting on top of the 18 team Premier League table with 21 points from 15 matches. The Bankers have won seven matches, drawn six and lost two.
Meanwhile, record champions Gor Mahia have parted ways with captain Philemon Otieno and Ernest Wendo. The contracts of the legendary duo have officially expired, making them free to seek new clubs during the January transfer window.
