Defending champions Gor Mahia, table leaders Kenya Police, second-placed Tusker FC, AFC Leopards and Sofapaka will all be in action as the race for the 2024/25 title continues to gather momentum.

On Saturday, AFC Leopards will return to action after their 4-2 win against KCB to confront Murang’a Seal at Dandora Stadium. Ingwe have been blowing hot and cold this season, their win against the Bankers coming after they had suffered a 4-2 defeat against FC Talanta.

In the history of the Kenyan league, the two sides have met four times. The first time was when Murang’a Seal got promoted to the 2023/24 season and it was during the domestic FKF Shield Cup where Ingwe won 1-0.

They later met in the top-flight in a fixture that ended in a 1-1 draw. Last season, AFC Leopards won the first meeting 1-0 but Murang’a recovered to earn a 1-0 revenge in the reverse fixture at SportPesa Arena.

In another top match on Saturday, Tusker will seek to reclaim the top spot when they face Ulinzi Stars, who are oozing with confidence following a 1-0 win against Kariobangi Sharks in their last assignment.

The Brewers are also in good form, having defeated Gor Mahia 2-1 last time out. Last season, Tusker won the first meeting 1-0 but the Soldiers recovered to register a similar result in the second round meeting.

On Sunday, the Gor Mahia versus Kakamega Homeboyz clash will highlight the four matches lined-up. K’Ogalo will head into the game having defeated Sofapaka 2-0, but the win came after they had lost 2-1 against Tusker.

Elsewhere, Bandari will host Nairobi City Stars at Mbaraki Stadium, while Sharks will take on Bidco United. On Monday, Kenya Police will play away against Mara Sugar, seeking to stay close with leaders Tusker.
