Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League outfit Tusker have announced the exit of winger John Byamukama after both parties reached a mutual agreement.
“Tusker can confirm that Ugandan winger, John Byamukama, has mutually agreed to part ways with the club,” read a statement from the club. “Byamukama has been with the club for two seasons, and during his time with the team, made significant contributions both on and off the pitch, and we are grateful for the dedication he showed during his tenure with us.
“We wish John all the best in his future endeavors and are confident that he will continue to excel in his career. He will always be a part of the Tusker FC family, and we thank him for his time with us.”
Meanwhile, the Brewers progressed to the second round of the FKF MozzartBet Cup after a 2-1 win over Division two side Gucha Youth in the Round of 64 in Kisii County on Saturday.
First half goals from John Njuguna and Ryan Wesley Ogam gave the team victory, in a match whose score-line would have been bigger by the magnitude of chances missed. A comfortable start saw Njuguna break the deadlock after just 10 minutes, curling the ball into the far post after a brilliant cross-field ball from George Kaddu on the other wing.
The goals could have been more with Jacob Onyango and Ogam both failing to finish good scoring chances, with Njuguna coming close again with a rasping left footer that skied inches over the bar.
