Former KCCA FC forward Simon Tshisungu Kankonde has sealed a move to Moroccan second-division side Raja Beni Mellal.
The Congolese forward joins the Botola 2 outfit from Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas, where he spent just six months after signing in August last year following his departure from KCCA FC.
Raja Beni Mellal, currently leading the Botola 2 standings with 27 points from 16 matches, is aiming to secure promotion to Morocco’s top flight. The club, founded in 1956, plays its home games at the 15,000-capacity Stade d’Honneur de Beni Mellal under head coach Mohamed Bekkari.
Before his stints at KCCA FC and ASEC Mimosas, Kankonde featured for Congolese clubs AS Dauphin Noir de Goma, Etoile Jaune de Bukavu, Union Sportive Tshinkunku de Kananga and Academie Club de Kananga.
