French Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais FC has turned down a €15 million offer from Turkish club Galatasaray for Algerian forward Amine Gouiri, according to a report by L'Équipe.
Submitted on Wednesday, the bid reportedly included a €13 million fee plus €2 million in add-ons. However, Stade Rennais declined the offer for the 24-year-old who is under contract with until the summer of 2027. Gouiri joined the club in the summer of 2022 in a transfer worth €28 million.
Since his arrival, Amine Gouiri has made 99 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists. This season, Gouiri has played in 16 Ligue 1 matches with two goals and one assist for Rennes who currently hold 13th position in Ligue 1.
On the international stage Gouiri has represented Algeria six times since his debut in October 2023 scoring one goal. Before committing to Algeria, he also represented France at various youth levels and previously represented OGC Nice and Olympique Lyonnais with whom he made his professional debut in November 2017.
