Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has reacted to the week 24 Ghana Premier League encounter against Samartex on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors dropped two valuable points away after fighting from a goal down to draw 1-1 against the former Premier League champions.
Prosper Narteh Ogum said: “I’m not happy about [the missed chances]. If you look at the game, it was a tense game, and normally when players become tense, their technique also becomes affected. Even though there were obvious chances, we have to pardon the players. We will continue working hard to improve on our goal-scoring.” Ogum said in a post-match interview.
The record Ghana Premier League holders were looking to consolidate points at the top of the table but the draw leaves them one 38 points, just one point above second place teams, Gold Stars and Heart of Lions.
Kotoko’s sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak dropped to 4th on the league log after losing 1-0 to last season’s CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinalists, Dreams fc at the Legon Spots Stadium last Saturday.
