Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara has taken a swipe at his charges for not “running enough” in their defeat against Aduana Stars on Wednesday.
The Phobians suffered a 2-0 loss to Aduana at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in a week 22 outstanding fixture, to further reduce Hearts’ chances of winning the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
Ouattara said: “We didn’t play football today, we gave them all the chances to score us. Since the first half we didn’t play well, we played very badly and we accept that today we are not good.
“We are not good at all, we are going to talk about it but today we were not good at all. We didn’t run, when you see the first goal, he second goal, the mistake we made, the corner and all, we didn’t run at all.
“We didn’t run today at all and I am not happy. I am going to tell them [player] but that is fact of football, we need to run but we didn’t run at all. Aduana run well. All the players were running but we didn’t run.”
The record Ghana FA Cup holders dropped into 7th on the league table with 41 points from 27 league matches. They are nine points below the leaders, Gold Stars who defeated Bechem United by 2-0 at the Nana Fosu Gyearbour Park
