Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has been disappointed following their slim 1-0 loss against Nations FC on Thursday in a week 21 outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture.
Black Stars defender, Razak Simpson struck a long range from 45-yards in the second half which separated the two sides at the Tuba Astro turf. The defeat makes it four straight games without a win for the record FA Cup holders which has left the Ivorian tactician distraught.
Speaking in his post-match interview, coach Aboubakar Ouattara admitted that Hearts of Oak lost to a better side while lamenting over his team’s missed chances.
“I told you before the match that Nations FC is a strong team. Today, unfortunately, we lost against a strong team with a good organisation. We did everything, but unfortunately, it’s the same disaster we have. The scoring possibility, we have a problem with that. We lost, and we accept it. We didn’t do well. We missed all the chances.”
The defeat dropped the 2000 CAF Champions League winners into 6th position on the league table on 37 points from 24 league games with Nations FC climbing up into 4th on 39 points.
Hearts of Oak’s next Ghana Premier League match is against former champions and two time FA Cup winners, Medeama SC on Sunday, 6 April.
