Week 14 of the Ghana Premier League produced very interesting results over the weekend with the nation’s two oldest clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, recording wins.
Hearts of Oak, who are the record FA Cup holders, opened the weekend on Friday with a convincing victory over former coach Samuel Boadu who is in charge of Berekum Chelsea.
The Phobians made light work of the Blues by posting a 3-1 win at the Legon Sports Stadium with the first goal coming from youngster Ahmed Ramzy Yussif on the 16th minute.
Hamza Issah doubled the lead for the Phobians with 50 minutes played before the visitors clawed one back from the boot of Emmanuel Sarpong on the 61st minute mark.
Striker Kwabena Boateng found his scoring boots on the evening for the millennium champions, icing the cake with ten minutes to end the proceedings.

The win sent the 2000 CAF Champions League winners into 6th position on 22 points - two behind rivals, Asante Kotoko from 14 matches played.
Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara said: “We came for the three points and we got it. We continue to work. Today Chelsea gave us a difficult game.
“The score is not a reflection of the game. The game was 50/50, but we scored. They gave us a tough match. When we were leading 2-1 it was not easy," the coach stated during his post-match interview.
The 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners will next play against Accra Lions away from home.
In other results, record Ghana Premier League holders Asante Kotoko picked all three points from Dreams FC on Saturday afternoon at the Tuba Astroturf in Kasoa, Accra.
Kotoko recorded a 2-1 victory - pushing them into 5th spot on 24 points - one above rivals, Hearts of Oak after match week 14.
