Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has reacted to the goalless draw against Young Apostles on Wednesday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors were held by the newly promoted side in an outstanding week 20 fixture, much to the disappointment of the club’s followers.

The result marks Kotoko’s second consecutive draw, having been held by Samartex to a 1-1 draw.

The result against Young Apostles knocked the record Ghana Premier League holders off the top spot, and head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum reacted to the encounter.

“I think it was a good game. Both teams played well, very physical game, but the nature of the pitch was not good, so we couldn’t keep the ball; we couldn’t play because it was bumpy. When you get the ball, you just have to balloon it.

“So it was a physical game. The pitch didn’t allow both teams to play because the ball was bouncing and changing direction.

“I think we failed to win most of the second balls, and that, somewhere along the line, didn’t help us in our transitions and then defensively, anytime they ballooned the ball and we headed it towards the space right in front of the center-backs, we were slow in our reactions” Prosper Narteh Ogum said after the game.

Kotoko now sit second on the table with 39 points, one behind Gold Stars, who earned a 1-0 win at Holy Stars.
