Head coach of Medeama SC Ibrahim Tanko has discussed their big win over Bechem United in week 23 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Mauve and Yellow came from one goal down to pummel the Hunters by 3-1 at the Tarkwa TnA Park after the league returned from almost five weeks break over the death of Kotoko supporter, Yaw Frimpong.

Ibrahim Tanko’s record since joining the former FA Cup winners from Accra Lions looks impressive with two wins, beating Legon Cities 1-0 before silencing Bechem United.

Ibrahim Tanko said: “We had a very good game against a very good organized team and I think in the first half we should have scored two or three goals more but I think in the end, it is a deserved win for us.

“We have almost full house, all the players are on board and he had time to train together for one week so I think it is part of the reason why we had a great game today because all of them who played today did very well.

“I think it is very good that all of them are on board so definitely it is going to be a good season for us.” Ibrahim Tanko told the media after the game.

The win sends Medeama into sixth on the league log with 32 points, same as Nations FC after 20 league matches.
