The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League enters the final batch of games in the first round on Sunday with matches spread across various venues. All matches will be played simultaneously to avoid discrepancies in officiating.

Seventh placed Medeama SC will travel to the Golden City Park as guests of former champions, Berekum Chelsea and technical director of the Mauve and Yellow, Evans Adotey is hoping his outfit gets a positive result.

Speaking ahead of the game, Adotey, who assumed the coaching role in December after Nebojsa Kapor’s departure, has set sights on avoiding defeat against Chelsea.

“We are getting the team ready for the game. I saw Chelsea against Basake Holy Stars and we all saw what transpired when they played Dreams FC. We are mapping up a strategy that come Sunday, we can return home if not the three points, a draw will be okay for Medeama,” he said.

Medeama SC sit seventhth on the league table with 26 points from 16 matches and Berekum Chelsea are currently 10th on the Ghana Premier League standings with 19 points after 16 matches into the campaign.

It promises to be a thrilling encounter in Berekum as both teams aim to finish the first phase of the campaign on a good note.
