Heart of Lions’ quest to win the Ghana Premier League will face a stiff competition when they travel to the Legon Stadium as guests of Hearts of Oak in week 19 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League on Friday.

The Kpando based club have collected an impressive 33 points, sharing the same points with second placed Gold Stars and a point behind leaders, Asante Kotoko after match week 18.

Assistant coach of Heart of Lions, Daniel Nii Adjei has admitted that, it will be difficult to pick a point against Hearts of Oak at 7:00pm.

“To get a point at Legon will be a success for us because we don’t want to lose this game and I know winning would be difficult but anything can happen but getting a point out of this game would be a plus for us,” Nii Adjei told the club website.

Heart of Lions returned to winning ways last weekend after beating two time Ghana Champions, Aduana Stars by 2-1 at the Kpando Stadium in week 18.

Hearts of Oak on the hand were held to a goalless draw by Holy Stars, leaving the Phobians rooted in 5th on the league table with 30 points, four behind the sworn rivals, Asante Kotoko.
